Did you know that Warhammer 40,000 is named that, because there are 40,000 different Warhammer-based games on the App Store? It's true. Look it up.

The latest is the Clash of Clans-alike The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault, which has you building up a base, defending it from marauders, and going out on missions to obliterate enemy fortresses.

Your first job, though, is to choose whether you want to side with the Emperor as a Loyalist, or with Horus as a Traitor. That will affect what type of troops you can command, and make other changes to the way the game plays.

Either way, you'll also be able to create a clan… sorry, chapter with your pals and challenge rivals around the world.

After a brief spell in soft launch, The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault is now available worldwide on iPhone and iPad. So if you're not yet sick of the 40,000 Warhammer games and the 40,000 Clash of Clans clones on the App Store, give it a go.
