Family Guy alumnus Cleveland Brown gets his own rhythm-action iOS game

Of all the ancillary characters in Family Guy, Cleveland Brown was never an obvious candidate for a spin-off show. While the other characters have perspectives loaded with comic potential – sexual deviance, disability, being a dog – Cleveland's defining trait is that he's boring and speaks slowly.

Animator Seth MacFarlane clearly thought otherwise, and The Cleveland Show has been on the air for two years now to, it has to be said, middling acclaim.

And now there's a Cleveland Show game, courtesy of Fox Mobile Entertainment. The Cleveland Show Dance Off is a Universal app that sees you swiping the screen in time with music to make four different versions of Cleveland dance in a manner that the developer considers in some way hilarious.

There's Bling Cleveland, Naked Cleveland (with an opossum preserving his modesty), '80s Cleveland, and Classic Cleveland (“in his natural state”).

You can make these various Clevelands execute 20 different dance moves, all the while earning Booty Bonus multipliers and enjoying the smooth vocal stylings of Cleveland Show voice actors Mike Henry and Kevin Michael Richardson.

The Cleveland Show Dance Off is available now for 69p/99c.
