Team Meat's Edmund McMillen reveals that Zelda-esque action-RPG The Binding of Isaac may be on its way to Nintendo's 3DS

Team Meat's co-CEO Edmund McMillen has revealed that his Bible-based independent action-RPG The Binding of Isaac may be on its way to Nintendo's 3DS.

Asked on Formspring about the likelihood of such a move, McMillen responded: "A publisher I know is currently asking Nintendo if they would be ok with Isaac on the 3DS, if they say yes then I'll hand the game off to them and let them port it."

If you're unfamiliar with the 2D Legend of Zelda-esque Mac and PC title, it thrusts you into the role of a small crying and naked child called Isaac, who escapes to a monster-filled basement after God demands his life.

Unlike Nintendo's aforementioned role-playing franchise, The Binding of Isaac features randomised dungeons and items, as well as six playable characters and multiple endings.

We'll let you know if we get any more info on this one.
