Super Mario Odyssey's Luncheon Kingdom gameplay shown off at Gamescom

Nintendo's been rocking out during Gamescom as they've showed off all sorts of things, like the new ARMS character Lola Pop in action, a little more footage from Rabbids x Mario Kingdom Battle, and now Super Mario Odyssey's newest kingdom.

This time around we're looking at the Luncheon Kingdom as Mr. Koizumi arrives in style wearing the iconic Cappy as he goes. It's a given from the name, but this kingdom's all about food as it takes on a more surreal approach.

As is pointed out, the characters in the Luncheon Kingdom are more cartoony than the folks from previous worlds. The inspiration behind the world partly stemmed from Italy and other European countries because of the sheer diversity of cuisines.

You can also buy clothing appropriate to the region and take part in a variety of different activities. In the stream we saw Mario's cooking adventure and more examples of how useful Cappy is as he swims effortlessly through lava.

If you can't wait for Super Mario Odyssey I strongly recommend checking out the video. It's looking damn good.
