Summoners War Chronicles gets an official release date for Korea

Mobile gaming giant Com2uS has announced the official Korean launch date for its upcoming gacha RPG Summoners War Chronicles. Launching on August 16th this year, the game will be available on iOS, Android, and PC. It will see you venturing through a massive world to do battle against popular monsters from Sky Arena and Lost Centuria, the other Summoners War spin-off games.

Chronicles does appear to borrow a good deal from games like Genshin Impact and Tower of Fantasy, both in the visuals department as well as the gameplay. However, Chronicles does differentiate itself with its gacha mechanic. Rather than rolling for new characters, you’ll be choosing a class from the very beginning as either a Magician, Healer, or a Melee Tank. The gacha portion comes in the fact that you’ll be summoning monsters to assist you in battle, much in the same way as the original Summoners War.

This does mean that you’ll be seeing all your favorite characters in Chronicles, however, like Panda Warrior and Joker as well as many others. Given how much the Summoners War universe has expanded, there’s plenty of material to pick from, so there’s gonna be a ton of fan service within Chronicles as well. As for the story, the details are pretty light when it comes to this one, only being picked apart from the few cinematic trailers we’ve been given. For now, we’ll have to wait for the upcoming launch to really figure out what’s going on.

So, whether a Summoners War fan or just someone looking to get their hands on a fantastic looking ARPG due out in only about a month, this is the one for you. To keep up with more news on Summoners War Chronicles, you can keep an eye out on the game’s official website.
