Stuffo the Puzzle Bot, a new deceptively simple puzzler, launches after being revealed last month

Indie developer Antti Tiihonen has finally launched their puzzle game Stuffo the Puzzle Bot onto iOS after revealing the game about a month ago. A deceptively simple but still brain-teasing new addition to the puzzle genre, Stuffo sees you stacking, pushing, and pulling boxes in an effort to create a path to the exit of the level and complete it.

Stuffo is the puzzle genre diluted to its most basic, reminiscent of older flash games you might find on game websites back in the day. There’s no complicated plot, no super complex mechanics or anything like that. Instead, this is simply a laid-back experience that sees you solving the best path to each exit and that is just about it.

Of course, that might make it sound super boring, and it’s not that simple once you get past the first few levels. As you progress, difficult terrain and hazards will begin finding their way into each level, forcing you to begin thinking outside the box (get it?) instead.

Terrain will be your main difficulty, as you’ll have to work with boxes that cannot be manipulated, avoid falling into water or stepping onto electricity, and other things like that. Luckily, it will be clear what blocks are to be avoided, as despite the retro pixelated art style that Stuffo is rocking, the visual clarity will help you to understand where you need to go and what you need to avoid as well.

Stuffo the Puzzle Bot is honestly a breath of fresh air to me. I enjoy puzzle games, but some of the newer entries into the genre just get overwhelmingly complex or lose themselves in a convoluted plot that lessens the puzzle-solving experience. Stuffo understands that a lot of puzzle game players want just exactly that: puzzles.

If you’re like me and looking for that sort of puzzle game, give Stuffo the Puzzle Bot a go for only $2.99 at the links below! In the meantime, be sure to give the developer a follow on Twitter to keep up with all of his work!
