Star Wars Battlefront: Mobile Squadrons launches in US

We heard about THQ’s Star Wars Battlefront: Mobile Squadrons right back at the beginning of the year, before the developer was blighted by the collapsing world economy and withdrew from mobile development.

So it’s great to see THQ Wireless has decided to follow through with those games that were pretty much complete, like Star Wars Battlefront: Mobile Squadrons.

Star Wars is one of the mobile entertainment industry’s true evergreen brands, and now THQ is pushing the boundaries of connected gaming with Star Wars Battlefront: Mobile Squadrons,” says THQ Wireless’ veep, Adam Comiskey.

The game puts you in control of an entire legion of the Emperor’s best troops, offering fast-paced arcade gameplay in an online universe where actions continuously affect events happening across the galaxy.

Players interact through a connected online community website, fighting in new environments as the Rebel Alliance or the Empire in the Galactic Civil War, or the Grand Army of the Republic or the Separatists in the Clone Wars. With 15 levels included, action includes multiple squadron classes, character upgrades, varying difficulty degrees and faction boss battles.

Star Wars Battlefront: Mobile Squadrons has just gone live in the US, and will hopefully find its way to Europe before too much longer.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
