Aquatic action-RPG sequel Squids Western Kingdom swimming onto iOS in June

The Game Bakers has confirmed that a Wild West-themed sequel is in the works for its aquatic action-RPG Squids.

Currently under the working title Squids Western Kingdom, the second outing for the courageous cephlapods will focus on a cast of new characters, while delving deeper into the history of the first game's cowboy hero Clint.

The Game Bakers has already dreamt up a host of new environments, thrown in some extra puzzle elements, and added a seahorse collection mechanic to enhance the western vibe.

New enemies will be making an appearance, including a shield-wielding baddie which can only be attacked from the rear.

The Game Bakers team also plans on expanding the Silver Award-winning Squids franchise into several different 'Kingdoms'.

So, expect to hear more from these stretchy critters after Squids Western Kindgom splashes onto the App Store in June.

As with the first game, Android users will probably be able to to get their tentacles on a Google-tailored port soon after the iOS version debuts.
