Six-Guns, Gameloft's open-world adventure set in a supernatural Wild West, has arrived on Google Play, with Xperia Play optimisations hogtied and slung across the back of its horse.

Borrowing liberally from Red Dead Redemption's playbook, Six-Guns has you exploring a sandbox frontier as Buck Crosshaw, a grizzled gunslinger with a grudge to settle.

And guess what: it's all free! Well, freemium, to be precise. Although Six-Guns costs nothing to download from Google Play, you'll struggle to get through its 40 bandit-blasting missions without making an in-app purchase or two.

Overall, we enjoyed the iPhone version of Six-Guns, although its lack of narrative drive meant that the game narrowly missed out on a Pocket Gamer Bronze Award.

Interested parties should head on over to Google Play [download], where you'll find Six-Guns is available free of charge. A mighty fine deal.
