Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out, follow-up to the 2018 strategy sim is now available on iOS and Steam

A few months ago, Kitfox Games and A Sharp announced Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out, a sequel to their strategy sim game that launched in 2018. The follow-up invites players once again on a storytelling adventure as they reenact ancient myths through exciting turn-based battles.

In Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out, players are transformed into a member of one of the last surviving clans in Glorantha, a world that is on the brink of collapse. Players will find a lot of similarities between Glorantha’s settings and that of RuneQuest and King of Dragon Pass as the bronze age world undergoes an existential crisis.

The game takes place ten generations after the events of Ride Like the Wind, at a time when the relations between humans and gods are strained. Some of the deities have already perished and it seems like mankind is destined for the same. Even the laws of physics bend to the will of these gods and spirits. It is up to the players to mend this bond and save Glorantha.

Gameplay-wise, everything takes place through decisions. Be it enforcing clan policy or dealing with furious ghosts, players must make choices in order to progress through the story. There is no right or wrong answer as every selection will uniquely shape the tale. Of course, players need to bear in mind that their decisions will have socio-economic impacts that may not be spotted immediately, only ruining everything after a few decades.

Six Ages 2 offers an insane amount of replayability thanks to over 600 different interactive scenes that have even more outcomes. Episodes aren’t too long either, and automatic saving just makes everything much smoother.

If you're interested in saving Glorantha, then download Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out now on the App Store for a premium of $9.99.
