Funky rotational iPhone match-3 game Sigma out now

Mixing up the match-three genre with funky graphics and audio - plus a gameplay twist - isn't anything new. Just think of Lumines.

And that's exactly what Sigma, the new match-three game from Canadian outfit, BigStack Studio reminds me of.

Its twist is that the coloured blocks are split into two carousels on each side of the screen. You can rotate them and fire individual blocks through the gap in the wall that divides them to make matches.

Once you've made a match, either vertically or horizontally, you'll have a couple of seconds to tag additional blocks on to the cluster before the matched blocks explodes.

There are three game modes. You unlock ten themes and soundtracks via the Sector mode, compete for a high score in Time Attack or go head-to-head with over wi-fi or Bluetooth in Versus mode.

Achievements, high scores and leaderboards are handled using the Plus+ social network.
