Grey Area's massively multiplayer online RPG Shadow Cities is the proud recipient of several new additions.

Firstly, the game's developer has added guides and followers allowing you to build your very own entourage, with new casting effects giving you the ability to know what your enemy is conjuring.

Push notifications have been added so that you never miss anything important, and a "number of other improvements" have been made.

Unfortunately, without looking we're not really sure what these "improvements" are, so your guess is as good as ours.

On location

Shadow Cities turns the real world into a role-playing game by tasking you with conquering your local streets, towns, and cities.

You do this by hunting down rogue spirits throughout your neighbourhoods, and collecting spells and levelling-up.

You'll be competing with another team for superiority, so you'd best bring your A-game.

Pocket Gamer's US correspondent Damon Brown went hands-on with the game back in May, and awarded it a Pocket Gamer Silver Award when he reviewed it.

You can grab Shadow Cities from the App Store for free.
