Rust Mobile drops a brand new trailer ahead of its appearance at Gamescom 2025
A hands-on preview is coming

- New trailer for Rust Mobile just dropped
- The mobile version retains the core survival systems from the PC game
- A playable demo will be available at Gamescom 2025
As you may have heard from our announcement last year, Rust is coming to iOS and Android. It’s now official as Level Infinite has just dropped a brand new trailer for the mobile adaptation of Facepunch Studios’ hit PC survival sim. Plus, they’ve also confirmed their appearance for Gamescom 2025 this August, where a hands-on demo will be showcased.
If you’ve ever experienced the betrayal of a friendly neighbour or the panic of waking up to a raided base, you’ll be pleased (or horrified, depending) to know those moments are coming to your phone. The mobile version of Rust preserves everything that made the original so tense - open-world exploration, permadeath, crafting, raiding, and the dread of player interactions that can turn on a dime.
What’s new is how well it’s been tailored for mobile. Rust Mobile introduces quality-of-life tweaks to fit different playstyles and session lengths. The stakes still remain high, and the experience, brutal as you scavenge solo or dive completely into PvP raids. The weather effects, day-night cycles, and distinct biomes just add to the intensity of this survival sandbox.

Played in first-person, the mobile version supports real-time action in a fully dynamic world where danger can come from wildlife or other survivors. Every decision matters, especially when trust is scarce and bullets are cheaper than friendship. Core systems like crafting and base-building remain deep but have been optimised for touch controls without watering down the tension.
