Rules of Survival's latest collaboration sees characters from Attack on Titan arrive in the battle royale

NetEase has announced and promptly released a new collaboration for their popular battle royale Rules of Survival. The team-up is with the critically acclaimed anime Attack on Titan and will stick around for one month and is available in America and the South East region.

During the event period, players can earn buffs by meeting up with major characters from Attack on Titan and beating several missions that can be found in the training manual. The heroes from the show that will appear in the collaboration include Eren and Mikasa.

Elsewhere, various themed items will be up for grabs. They include transformation costumes, weapons and sports cars that can be obtained through a lottery drawing. On top of these items, a new interaction will release during the event. It will see players training in the Survey Corp and fighting against the titans. Doing so will net them tokens and an upgrade bonus.

If you're a fan of Attack on Titan but haven't heard of Rules of Survival before, it is a hugely popular battle royale from NetEase that initially launched back in 2017. Since then, it has been installed over 280 million times, alongside being the most downloaded app in 65 regions.

The matches take place on an 8x8 where 300 players land and battle it out to become the last person standing. As with most games in the genre, they will need to scavenge the map to loot weapons and other accessories to help them survive. There are also vehicles dotted about the landscape that can prove useful when trying to avoid the constantly shrinking safe zone.

Rules of Survival is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
