If you've ever played Mouse Trap, watched Wallace & Gromit, or seen Honda's elaborate 2003 Cog advert, you're familiar with Rube Goldberg machines.

These contraptions are made up of convoluted sets of chain reactions which ultimately result in a fabulously satisfying payoff. In truth, they're very fun to watch and construct.

It's these very machines that you'll have to build in order to solve the puzzles in Rube Works. This officially licensed Rube Goldberg game will contain all of the slapstick humour synonymous with the famous inventor himself.

It's also worth noting, incidentally, that this is among the first batch of mobile games being published by Unity Games, which turned to the publishing game in August. There - noted.

Rube Works

For your delectation, please find below an example of the kind of challenge with which you'll be presented in Rube Works...

"Imagine the goal is to carve a turkey - and you have a penguin, a bucket, a rooster, a box of sand, a sea sponge, a seesaw, and an ice cream maker to complete the task."

"Then imagine connecting these objects together with string and pulleys along with the laws of gravity and cartoon physics to create a Rube Goldberg machine and proceed to the next level."

Rube Works should surface on Android and iOS devices next month.
