There's rocking, and then there's rocking, and then there's rocking

This weekend and for four nights only, EA is holding a Games that Rock sale, although only one of the games 'rocks' in the musical sense. That game is Rock Band, which has been reduced from £3.99 to £2.99.

Some of the other games on offer rock in the sense that they're good. Mirror's Edge is great – it rocks – although it's still not particularly cheap. Its price doesn't rock.

Need for Speed: Shift also rocks, and again its rockingness appears to have had an inversely proportionate effect on the degree to which its price rocks. At £2.99, it's just a pound cheaper than usual.

Skate It doesn't rock, unless in the sense that you might use the word to describe a boat on stormy waters. If somebody invites you to board a boat that rocks, you should decline, and this would apply to the very average Skate It if it weren't for the fact that its price now, yes, rocks.

And so on.

Skate it - 59p (was £2.99)
The Sims 3 World Adventures - £1.79 (was £3.99)
The Sims 3 - £2.99 (was £3.99)
Need for Speed: Shift - £2.99 (was £3.99)
FIFA World Cup - 59p (was £1.79)
Rock Band - £2.99 (was £3.99)

For iPad
Boggle - £1.19 (was £2.99)
Mirror's Edge - £5.99 (was £7.49)
Command & Conquer: Red Alert for iPad - £5.99 (was £7.49)
