E3 2010: Resident Evil Portable a no-show at E3

Capcom silent on PSP game's status

E3 2010: Resident Evil Portable a no-show at E3

Resident Evil Portable, the PSP-exclusive instalment of the blockbuster survival-horror franchise by Capcom, is nowhere to be found at E3 2010.

Announced during Sony's E3 press conference in 2009, the high profile title was not referenced during the company's media briefing today nor was is spotted on the show floor.

When questioned, a representative of Capcom declined to comment.

Technically there's been no change to the status of Resident Evil Portable, but it doesn't look good. After a big reveal at last year's E3 and then an absence at this year's show, it could very well be cancelled.

With Capcom supporting PSP with Monster Hunter Portable 3rd and other titles, it seems unlikely the game would be cancelled out of fear of waning PSP sales in the US and Europe. In fact, Capcom has had tremendous success with PSP games in Japan.

For the time being, it looks like Resident Evil Portable is on hold at best.
