Ragnarok Begins, the prequel to Ragnarok Origins, opens pre-registration

Gravity Interactive has been expanding on its popular MMORPG franchise Ragnarok Begins. They recently announced Ragnarok Arena, a tactical RPG with idle gameplay elements. Next on the list is Ragnarok Begins, a side-scrolling adventure that is coming to mobile and PC this winter. It brings to the forefront loads of combat, an immersive narrative, customizable gear, and a tonne of missions to complete.

Rangarok Begins takes place a century before the events of Ragnarok Origin. Players will find themselves in an early Midgard, during a time when a massive battle was taking place between the followers of Odin and Freya. The Pope of Arunafeltz has gone missing and that has caused a volcano of chaos to erupt in the realm. Players will have to join hands and uncover everything that surrounds the Pope’s disappearance, while also unearthing Midgard’s deepest secrets.

In the beginning, players will be able to choose one of four jobs, a Swordsman, Archer, Mage, or Acolyte. All these jobs will have two advanced options which will allow players to fine-tune things and pick a playstyle that suits them the most.

The game features the same chibi art style that all the other titles have. Like Origin, Begins too will feature 2.5D side-scrolling with an action MMORPG system that uses non-targeted blending and brawling elements. With crossplay, players will also be able to seamlessly swap between PC and mobile and always progress from the same point.

Ragnarok Begins’ main story isn’t its only attractive feature. Besides this, the game will contain server-wide world bosses, a ranked PvP mode that takes place in Valhalla, The Endless Tower survival mode, and lots of other PvE content. Players will always have something to do.
