Race Driver GRID goes mobile

Sadly nothing to do with cattle on the roads

Race Driver GRID goes mobile

It's strange to think that once upon a time (i.e. 2004) the vast majority of mobile racing games were abject rubbish. In recent times, it's harder to think of a driving game we haven't liked.

Glu is hoping to continue that trend with Race Driver GRID, based on the Codemasters console game of the same name.

It's another globetrotting racer, with you competing at glamorous locations around the world in various disciplines, building your own team as you go.

It includes a bunch of licensed cars, like the Ford Mustang GTR and Aston Martin DBR9. 3D visuals are, naturally, part of the mix too.

We've played an emulator demo of the game online, which was blazingly fast. If Glu can maintain that for the real mobile versions, Race Driver GRID could be a treat when it comes out later this month.
