WipEout-esque Protoxide: Death Race out now on iPhone, coming soon to Android
Strap in, it's going to be a bumpy ride

If you've stumbled onto one of those social network things recently, you'll probably have seen people chatting about 2012 and the end of the world.
New iPhone WipEout-esque shooter Protoxide: Death Race gives you a sneak peak at a post-2012 Armageddon, complete with ambandoned cities, lawless streets, and no-rules racing.
You pilot one of 12 futuristic war-gliders - each with unique characteristics - around 16 tracks and four locations, in several different game modes.
You can participate in a high-speed race to the finish line, go toe-to-toe with a weapon-wielding foe in a fight to the death, investigate your post-apocalyptic world in great detail, or jump into the campaign.
You can even challenge racers from around the world with wi-fi multiplayer.
An Android version of the Protoxide: Death Race is 'coming soon', according to website Android Police, but iPhone owners can grab it now.
It'll cost you £1.99 / £2.99.
