We first clapped eyes on Powerboat Challenge at January's Mobile Games Forum in London, where Fishlabs gave us a teasing five-minute demo of the game.

Now however we've got some actual screenshots of the action (above). As you'd expect from Fishlabs, the game offers impressive 3D visuals and animation.

And although the ripply water effects are likely to be a big selling point, the game looks set to have plenty of depth too, providing you with the options to customise your boat in order to beat rivals as you race around the various buoy-marked courses.

It's due out at the end of this month for 3D-capable Nokia and Sony Ericsson handsets. Check the screenshots, and click 'Track It' for an alert when we review the game.
