Pokemon Platinum catches a release date
I choose you, May 22nd!
Way back in September 2008 Japanese gamers were still using their DS Lites and playing the hell out of the all new Pokemon Platinum - essentially a revamp of the Pearl and Diamond versions of the long lived obscurity.
C&VG is reporting that a European release date has now been set for May 22nd, which will finally deliver the minor upgrades to the game’s wi-fi multiplayer options and add a couple of new realms to explore and pocket monsters to catch.
Probably the most interesting addition is the Distortion World, which apparently isn't subject to the laws of time and space, so battling it out in this surreal dimension should add a bit of new interest to the aging concept.
You can also record your battles and watch other people’s in the expanded Global Trade Station from Diamond (now called the Global Trade Terminal) and visit the all new Battle Frontier - a building packed with challenges and tournaments available after you’ve beaten the Pokemon League Champion.
Whatever that means.
