- Mega Gyrados Raid Day on August 31st
- It will know the Charged Attack Aqua Tail
- Purchase the event ticket for more rewards
Pokémon Go is bringing a wave of excitement with Mega Gyarados Raid Day on Sunday, August 31st. Following the highly anticipated Max Finale this weekend, you can dive back into the action as Mega Gyrados will appear more frequently in raids. And if luck is on your side, a Shiny variant may be lurking among the waves. All the action unfolds between 2:00 and 5:00 pm local time.
Gyarados in this Pokémon Go Raid Day will wield the Charged Attack Aqua Tail, giving you an edge in battles and a reason to rally friends for cooperative raids. Remote Raid Pass limits will be increased to 20 from August 30th to 31st.
On top of that, spinning Gym Photo Discs can earn you up to five additional free Raid Passes, bringing your total to six for the event. Shiny Gyarados chances are also boosted, giving you a rare opportunity to catch a sparkling serpent.

If you're looking for an extra boost, an event ticket for $4.99 grants eight additional Raid Passes from Gym Photo Disc spins, increases the chance of receiving Rare Candy XL for Trainers level 31+, boosts XP from raids by 50%, and doubles Stardust rewards, all active during the three-hour window.
And if that wasn’t enough, the Pokémon Go Web Store also features a Mega Gyrados Raid Day Ultra Ticket box for $4.99 or your local equivalent. It includes the event ticket alongside a bonus Premium Battle Pass at no cost. If you'd rather not spend, you could just redeem these Pokémon Go codes for a bunch of freebies!
This Raid Day follows just ten days after the Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia event, keeping you on your feet with back-to-back opportunities to power up your collection.
