Pokemon Go's July 2022 Community Day Pokemon is Starly

With June almost over, it's time to gear up for a new month on Pokémon Go. Another month means a whole new list of events and celebrations, which includes July's Community Day. Coming to Pokémon Go next month is the Starling Pokémon – Starly! Players will be able to get their hands on Starly as it will frequent the wilds much more on July 17th between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm local time. Lucky trainers may just come across a shiny variant roaming about.

Catching Starly will also provide players with Candy that can be used to evolve the Pokémon into Staraptor. If done any time before 7:00 pm on the Community Day, Staraptor will have learnt the Fast Attack – Gust, which does 16 damage in Trainer Battles and 25 in Gyms and Raids. Like every month, a tonne of bonuses are available for players to take advantage of.

Players can enjoy 3x Catch XP, 2x Catch Candy, 2x chance of getting Starly Candy XL, Lure Modules and Incense that last three hours, special trades, and more. July 2022 Community Day’s Special Research Story is called Field Notes and will be available as usual for $1.00 or your local equivalent. These tickets can now be gifted to friends as well. Players squadding up and working together in groups will also be rewarded with additional XP.

Furthermore, bonus raid battles will be available between 2:00 and 7:00 pm on July 17th. These will feature Staravia and on completing them, Staryu will appear more often around the gym for half an hour. Finally, players will be able to grab event-themed stickers from PokéStops, by opening gifts, or by purchasing them through the shop.
