The inevitable has finally happened - Kairosoft's released a farming simulator.

That's right, after giving pocket gamers the chance to run a shopping mall, a sushi restaurant, a feudal Japanese village, and a game development studio (among many, many other endeavors), the laser-like focus of Kairosoft has finally turned to farming.

The end result is the just-released Pocket Harvest, a game that puts you in charge of creating the least traditional farm in the history of pocket agriculture.

Unlike other farming sims like Harvest Moon or Farmville, Pocket Harvest lets you build a thriving amusement park around around your pastoral paradise.

You'll still live and die by your crop harvests early on, mind, but eventually you'll be able to raise up castles in the middle of your cornfields as you try to tempt hordes of tourists into visiting.

In other words, it's your typical (fun) Kairosoft game - but this time, it's set on a farm.

As with other Kairosoft titles, Pocket Harvest can be downloaded from Google Play for the modest price of $4.99 / £2.99.

Happy farming!
