Almost a year ago we told you about the Kickstarter campaign for Pixel Press.

It was a neat looking app that let you sketch out and scan platform games using pen and paper and your iPad.

Well, the app has finally made its way to the App Store and you can grab it right now for nothing at all.

The various shapes and symbols you draw out, either with a pen and a printed out template or using the iPad's touchscreen, are turned into a game element. An X is a spike, for example.

The levels you create can be shared in the arcade if you have an account, and you can buy extra graphical elements like enemies and power-ups with IAPs.

If you've ever fancied having a go at building a game, or you've got kids who might be into it, then Pixel Press Floors, as the final product is called, is definitely worth a look.
