Payday: Crime War will host a beta test for Android in early December with registration now open

PopReach has announced that registration for Payday: Crime War's upcoming Android beta is now open for players worldwide. The beta itself will then start in early December, with the shooter's full launch for iOS and Android expected sometime next year.

If you are unfamiliar with Payday: Crime War, it is a first-person shooter set in the Payday universe. It features co-op heists and a 4v4 multiplayer mode, which promises a new way to experience the series. The game will also feature several recognisable characters from the series, such as Wolf, Dallas, Chains, and Hoxton. Similarly, it will feature several classic contracts, including Golden Grin Casino, Trainyard, Art Gallery, Four Stores, and many more.

To coincide with the announcement, the developer has posted a new teaser trailer, which you can check out over on the game's official website. However, don't expect too much in the way of gameplay. The video more serves to give us a taste of what to expect.

Discussing Payday: Crime War, Christopher Locke, President of PopReach said: “Our PopReach team has a track record of translating successful shooter games to mobile, so we’re eager to be taking a shot with such a genre-defining classic as Payday.”

They added: “Partnering with Starbreeze and leveraging their IP knowledge, along with this massive built-in audience, creates a tremendous opportunity for PAYDAY on mobile. Together, we believe we’ll be able to deliver a first-class mobile shooter experience that satisfies even the most loyal heisters.”

Payday: Crime War will eventually release on both the App Store and Google Play. It is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
