Particle Mace very much resembles an arena shooter without the shooting. With asteroids and "foes" attacking from all sides, how will you survive?

Luckily, you will have particles hanging off your little spaceship that you will be able to swing around if you pick up momentum. They're deadly... but not to you.

Movement plays two roles in Particle Mace, then. Firstly, you will use it to avoid the hazards all around you. Secondly, you will use it as a weapon (moving causes the particles to pick up speed and smash into enemies).

This naturally results in a risk / reward-style of gameplay.

In the Mission mode, you will be handed three missions to complete at a time. There are 108 missions in total. These missions will vary greatly, ranging from racing and destroying fast-moving enemies to escaping invincible enemies and performing chain kills.

Trying to complete all of the missions in quick-fire rounds turns out to be a highly compelling experience. I honestly found it hard to pull myself away from this one.

There'll also be an Arcade mode here, in which you will be able to do as you please for as long as you can survive. If you build up a high enough score, you will be able to unlock new ships with different play style requirements.

From what I've played of Particle Mace, I'd say that it's shaping up to be a unique, compelling, challenging, and downright entertaining one-touch arcade game.

It should be available on iOS later in the year. We'll keep an eye out for it for you.
