Panzer Tactics HD will see the DS World War II strategy title remade for iOS

Developer Sproing and publisher bitComposer Games announced today that the World War II strategy game for DS Panzer Tactics will be remade for iOS.

We weren't too fond of Panzer Tactics back in 2007, finding it too complicated for the small screen. But, hey, a lot can change in seven years.

This is promised to be a faithful remake of the original, but with a full graphical makeover. Plus, it should be less fiddly on the larger screen of an iPhone or iPad.

We can expect to fight for Germany, the Soviet Army, and the Western Allies, and will command troops across sea, land, and air.

Panzer Tactics HD is a turn-based strategy game, where you'll have to consider the number, type, and position of every units you have.

You'll also want to look out for seasonal, terrain, and weather advantages you can exploit.

Unlike a lot of other strategy titles of today, Panzer Tactics HD will retain its focus on single-player, so don't expect a multiplayer mode.
