Tree Men Games has rolled out a big update to the Android version of its car chase sim Pako.

It adds four new cars and 12 new maps to drive them around in wild circles as you're chased by the cops.

But this update also introduces video ads to the game. Watching these video ads earns you credits, which is what you'll need if you want to unlock these new features.

But don't fret. You don't have to watch video ads to earn credits. Yes, you can still earn credits by simply playing Pako as you normally would.

What might be considered strange about the addition of video ads here is that the iOS version of Pako doesn't have them.

In the iOS version, you pay a single price to buy the game and all the content is included. Whereas the Android version requires you to earn credits in-game to unlock content.

At least the Android version is free to download. And, mind you, it's no surprise that video ads have been added to the game given the revenue that they can bring in.

You can download Pako for free on Google Play if you haven't already. You can also purchase it for 79p / 99c on the App Store.
