Liquid City has announced the upcoming launch of Overbeast, the studio's augmented reality experience on mobile that's releasing on iOS and Android on April 22nd. Just in time for Earth Day, the game's launch will offer players a unique experience as they marvel at massive alien beasts from the Overworld here on Earth.

In Overbeast, players can look forward to exploring a parallel dimension where they can witness majestic beasts fighting for dominance or lingering over the horizon in peace. The game is crafted by Keiichi Matsuda in collaboration with Verizon, and players will join forces to power up the beast in their city to take part in The Ultimate Overbeast League. Here, they can duke it out against neighbouring regions for the ultimate bragging rights.

From the screenshots available online, it seems that the beasts will truly be jaw-dropping with the way they hover above skylines in their gargantuan forms. It also appears that players will be able to grow forests and collect pollen among other things as part of the gameplay loop.
