Minimalist dodge-'em-up Octagon available at half price for the holidays
Don't hate the 8
Mugeaters has updated its fast-paced minimalist iOS game Octagon with an endless mode, new tapping controls, and two new music tracks.
Oh, it's also currently on sale for the holidays, so will cost you just 69p / 99c (rather than £1.49 / $1.99).
The tapping controls could make a real difference to proceedings, for I picked up on the awkwardness of swiping in the original version of the game. It should mean that Octagon's gameplay is now, well, snappier.
Not that speed is necessarily in short supply here.
I mean, Octagon is a frantic dodge-'em-up set inside an octagonal megaplex. You spin the tunnel to dodge speed bumps, and flip it upside down to avoid holes.
