While wireless home networks are becoming more commonplace, many of us still wire up our homes like Christmas trees to get our computers onto the net.

Which is all very well for manufacturers of cabling, but not much use if you own a PSP or DS, which only connect to the net via wi-fi.

Thrustmaster's WiFi USB Key for PSP FunAccess is the latest product to straddle this invisible gap.

As the name spells out, you simply plug the WiFi USB Key for PSP FunAccess into your PC's USB port and – provided the PC is connected to the internet via 512kbps broadband or better – the USB Key creates a wireless network for your PSP to hook into.

No wireless router or extra equipment is required, and other wireless devices can also connect to the net over the wi-fi network created (it's down to you to put the Fun into FunAccess though).

Thrustmaster also goes live on April 6th with a site for PSP users, offering photos, screensavers and game hints (http://psp.thrustmaster.com).

The WiFi USB Key for PSP FunAccess will be available in May at a US price of $39.99. No UK price has yet been given.
