The only advantage of being last in the PSP release schedule is that the PSP released in the UK will be improved compared to the versions out in Japan and the US. For example, the firmwave operating system is already up to version 1.52 (originally 1.0 in Japan and 1.5 in the US). Other improvements will be less likelihood of dead screen pixels, thanks to improvements in the production process and fixes to software. Something else that will be better is the battery life and the speed of recharging. Already in Japan, Sony has released a new recharger unit, the PSP-190, which cuts the time of recharging a dead PSP battery to 90 minutes, an improvement of 45 minutes.
