Perhaps Nintendo wanted to clear the decks for tomorrow's DS biggie, Tetris DS. Let's face it, unless it has managed to dent a bombproof classic design, anyone who buys that game isn't going to be doing much else for the next few weeks anyway.
That said, plenty of FIFA fans will soon be trying to squeeze in the odd corner of a different sort. 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany is due out on PSP, DS and GBA next Friday.
The less sporting PSP faithful will also get to take part in some shootouts, with military action romp SOCOM arriving for duty tomorrow.
