Taijia releases distinctly PSP-like gaming device
All hail the Lok PSP-86OS PMP
The latest PMP - or Personal Media Player - to come out in Asia looks like its makers Taijia might have taken some inspiration from Sony's PSP, both in name and design.
The Lok PSP-86OS is the latest system to take on Nintendo and Sony, the big, bad boys of handheld gaming. However, its specs don't quite match up to the competition.
According to Pmptoday the device features a 2 MP camera, 2.8-inch screen, USB port, mic and miniDS. And here's an extra bit of useless information: it weighs two eggs. Which - I'm not sure about you - is exactly what I look for in a gaming device.
The system will retail at around GBP 30 for the 1GB version and GBP 50 for the 2GB, which is certainly cheaper than a PSP. But then, you also won't be able to buy it off shop shelves here and you won't be getting God of War to play on it any time soon. Which means that maybe it's not such a bargain.
