Nokia cracks down on 'voting exuberance'

Shame on you if you tried to game the N-Gage feedback forums
|

Remember how last week we reported on the launch of the N-Gage Feedback Forum, allowing gamers to make their suggestions for N-Gage and then vote on the best ones.

Well, it seems a few of you were a little too keen to get your ideas to the top of the list. Or, as Nokia puts it in a blog post:

"It became apparent quickly that anonymous voting and the ability for people to have multiple accounts was, shall we say, encouraging a bit of "voting exuberance" which needless to say kind of undermines the whole concept of voting itself."
However, Nokia has now tweaked the site's back-end to stop people voting from multiple accounts, and bar anonymous voting too.

Still, it's a sign that Nokia is closely monitoring the forum, which means that the best (legitimately popular) ideas are being absorbed by the company.
