Nvidia has announced it's teaming up with Samsung to work on an Android ‘super phone.’ The revelation comes tacked onto the bottom of an Nvidia MWC press release reporting that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be powered by its latest Mobile CPU, Tegra 2.

Further details on the Samsung/Nvidia phone are scarce, with the press release only stating that it will be a "new Android-based super phone with a dual-core CPU to consumers, for never-before-seen experiences."

There are rumours that Tegra 2 3D, the next-generation Nvidia CPU, could be used in the smartphone. It was nowhere to be seen at Samsung’s event at MWC, but we should have more concrete details soon.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be released in Asia and Europe in March. More details on this new tablet can be found within our story on its unveiling here.
