PSP to link directly to PSN Store
Good news for those without a PC
Sony has revealed at a Tokyo strategy meeting that PSP will finally be getting direct access to the PSN Store. So users will no longer have to access game downloads and extras through the PC Store. Or fiddle about with cables for that matter.
As reported by PSPFanboy, the new service will also mean content can be downloaded straight to your PSP using any wi-fi hotspot.
The feature has previously been spoken about, but no time frame had been announced. Now Sony says it will be available this fiscal year, which would be any time up until next April. So there's a possibility we'll be waiting a while, but at least it's some sort of indication. There's every chance Sony will be saying more about the feature at next month's E3. Obviously we'll keep you posted.
