PSP regains top spot in Japanese hardware chart
PS3 only kept it off the top for one week
After a lengthy stint at the top of the Japanese hardware chart, the new Metal Gear Solid sold enough PS3s to knock PSP into second place last week. But only for one week it turns out, because PSP is now back up there again.
According to the latest Media Create figures, PSP sold 59,351 units throughout the week putting it way back ahead of all the competition. PS3 slips down to fourth position with 20,336 consoles sold and Wii and DS take second and third place respectively.
So everything is back in familiar territory again and we only got one week off from reporting the news PSP is still number one in Japan. Not that we're complaining of course.
