PSP Japan weekly sales pull away from DS

The weekly Japanese hardware sales figures are in from Media Create and they show it's been a particularly good week for Sony.
Admittedly every week has been a good week in Japan's hardware charts for PSP for quite some time now. But even by normal standards, PSP has shifted a lot of units – 74,024 to be precise.
Which is significantly more than the console at the number two slot, the DS, which sold 54,531. And only last week we were reporting on how DS was catching its rival. Tsk.
But the charts for the week ending July 20th display PSP as still in a super strong position in its domestic market and its popularity shows no sign of waning.
Now just imagine how many Sony would shift if it released that rumoured PSP-3000 model…
