PSP continues to lead the hardware race in Japan
Sony handheld tops sales charts there for yet another week
The latest console sales figures for Japan are in courtesy of Media Create and, would you believe it, they put PSP in pole position.
The Sony portable console sold 67,452 units in the week ending July 27th, while DS managed a respectable 56,968, which secures it the number two slot.
Effectively, PSP sales are showing no signs of slowing at all. However, if there's any truth in yesterday's news that Nintendo has a successor to DS lined up and ready to release later this year in Japan in order to invigorate slumping DS sales there, all that could change pretty rapidly.
Until then, however, we're predicting these weekly PSP-is-top-in-Japan reports aren't going to go away any time soon.
