The PSN Store app is now working in the UK, and adds G-Police, Twisted Metal, and Kurushi Final to the list of PlayStation Classics available for Xperia Play.

The app was originally released for the PlayStation-certified Tablet S but has since been exported to Xperia Play by developer Yifanlu on the XDA developers forums.

The app requires you to enter your PSN account details in order to browse and download games or add money to you PSN Wallet. Despite the apparent integration, it also looks like you'll be forced to pay for games again even if you've already bought a copy on your PlayStation 3 or PSP, as eagle-eyed blogger XperiaGamer has noted.

The app also only appears to be working on Xperia Play handsets that are fully updated to Gingerbread 2.3.4, but there’s no need to have your device rooted, making this one of the more open and accessible tricks of the XDA community. PS Store.apk (download)
