Mpowerplayer launches mobile game portal

What with economic recession looming, demos are even more important for the addicted pocket gamer, so it's interesting to hear about Mpowerplayer's new mobile gaming portal, Mplayit.com.

The portal is offering US gamers over 60 pocket titles from companies such as EA Mobile, Glu Mobile, Gameloft, Hands-On Mobile, Namco Bandai, I-play, Digital Chocolate and Sega Mobile, with the intriguing option to test them out in a browser-based emulator before buying.

The purpose is to help guide potential gamers to titles they might not easily find elsewhere, and to help publishers find a direct channel for talking to their customer base. If you're not based in the US, you can still swing by to test out the games in the excellent emulators, which is nice.
