High noon summer evaporates DS and PSP release schedule
The next eight days in new handheld games

We've had the good and the bad, but now it's turned ugly. Indeed, Sergio Leone, famed director of spaghetti westerns, would have probably loved the barren, dusty, tumbleweed-blowing-in-the-wind feel of the handheld release schedule during this sleepy summer period.
Just when you thought it couldn't get worse, we're down to just one release riding into town next week. Admittedly, it's the highly-promising Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, so PSP owners will at least have an incentive to grab a fistful of dollars (or pounds, obviously) and head down to their local games emporium.
As for everyone else, look at it as an opportunity to either pick up an earlier worthwhile release at a (hopefully) discounted price or finish off some of the games in your collection. Because before you know it there'll be an abundance of potential new sheriffs in town.
