Happy 4 millionth birthday to DS
Who needs Christmas? DS is already flying off the shelves

ChartTrack has released the latest console sales data for the year, and it shows Nintendo's DS is shifting faster than free vodka shots outside your local Walkabout bar.
Four million DS units have been sold in the UK, and one million of these has been sold this year alone prior to the busy festive season.
Sales of the console in 2007 are up on 2006 by a whopping 196 per cent. Somewhere, that's got to be making a Nintendo marketing man with a whiteboard very happy indeed.
The handheld is holding its own even against the powerful might of Xbox 360, outselling Microsoft's console by nearly a million units in this year.
Of course, the one downside to this success may be felt by anyone hoping to buy a DS for themselves or a loved one this December. At the current rate, shortages seem possible so our advice is to get into the Christmas spirit early (it's not difficult – our local Boots started playing Slade a week ago) and bag yours now.
