Skies of Glory: Battle of Britain (iPhone)

This Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning air combat title allows you to pilot a series of planes over the skies of Europe and the Pacific.

Skies of Glory: Battle of Britain features several multiplayer modes (for up to eight players), including a classic free-for-all approach.

Alien Space Retro (Universal)

Alien Space Retro is a Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-nabbing twin-stick shooter, in which your aim is to destroy waves of asteroids and enemy ships before they do the same to you.

You can upgrade both your ship and its weapons as you progress through the game's 30 campaign missions, and you can put your skills to the test in Survival mode.

Piyo Blocks 2 (iPhone)

There are plenty (understatement) of match-three puzzle games on Apple's App Store, but very few, including Piyo Blocks 2, can boast a Pocket Gamer Silver Award.

There are six different game modes on hand: Piyo, Hyaku, Time Attack, Three Second Mode, Disco, and Endless. Each, naturally enough, has its own set of rules and requirements.
