Ever wondered what the PSP would have been like with a touchscreen?
Now you can find out...
So Nintendo was the one to come up with the touchscreen handheld, and we're sure that someone somewhere at Sony has, at least once, rued the day they didn't come up with the idea (and swiftly patented it) first.
If you're that executive or have been wondering what a touchscreen PSP would have been like had it make it to the drawing board in the first place, one modder going by the name jube808 has the answer. He appears to have made it his quest to recreate the PSP as he thinks it should have been done.
That means giving it the touchscreen, extra battery life and a redesigned control pad.
So far he has a concept touchscreen up and running, which you can check out in this video on engadget. The screen works with either a finger or stylus and its creator says he hopes he will eventually get it working with homebew games.
So what do you think? Perhaps Sony might take note for the PSP-3000. Then again, there's all that multimedia absurdity still to integrate, isn't there? Sigh.
