EA shows its handheld hand with eight new games
Publisher giant kicks off campaign for mobile dominance
Get ready for pocket gaming, EA-style. The world's biggest games company only declared it was serious about mobile gaming at the GDC conference in March, but it hasn't wasted any times since, already revealed the first eight of the 20 titles planned for launch in 2005.
Five of the games, all 3D affairs, are drawn from EA's stable of blockbuster brands:
* Madden NFL 2006 * The Sims 2 Mobile * Need for Speed Underground 2 * Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2006 * EA SPORTS FIFA Football 2006
They are backed up by three more casual, 2D games.
* Poppit! * Turbo 21 * Tri Peaks Solitaire
All eight titles will be available for hands-on play for the first time at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on May 18, 2005.
