DSi advertisement demos face-bending functionality
Ever wanted to look like John Merrick?

If you lived in Japan, you'd be able to go to a shop and buy a DSi this weekend. But you probably don't. To keep your soul nourished until such a time as you can acquire Nintendo's latest bit of kit, here's the most recent Japanese advertisement, taken from 1up.
It shows off the DSi's camera and associated software, emphasising the family-friendly nature of the device: an old man appears in one screen, and an infant in the other. Then, a manicured hand uses the stylus to stretch the cheeks of a photographed girl so that she appears to have a whole chocolate bar in her mouth.
In a little while, European and American DSi owners will be able to use the same software to create the illusion the their mouths do not contain chocolate, demonstrating the device's versatility and international appeal.
